Is there a sibling race?
- No, we do not have a siblings category.
Do I have to be present for my car to race?

Can my car win an award if it is not eligible to race?
- No, all cars must be eligible to race in order to be considered for an award, see rules for more details.
What do I do if I need a replacement car kit?
- Replacement kits are available for $5, please contact us to schedule a pickup.
How does car drop off work? Why do I drop off early?
- The night before the derby there is a car drop off where you can have your car certified to race and leave it sequestered for racing the following day. We highly recommend taking advantage of the car drop off because A) if your car does not pass certification then there's time to fix it, B) you don't need to arrive early to race day to get your car certified and C) it helps ensure racing starts on time.
What if my car breaks on race day?
- We want all cars to race therefore we have some tools onsite and will make every effort to make a car race-able again quickly so it doesn't miss a race. However, not all issues are quickly fixable and given the time constraints of completing all races we may not be able to prevent a broken car from missing a race.
What if I arrive late to the event?
- If you dropped off your car at the drop off then there is no issue. If you arrive late with your car we will make every effort to get your car it's 4 heats but depending upon the timing it's possible the car will only run it's remaining heats.
Is there food at the event?
- Yes, there is food for purchase at the event
Can I race an old car?
- No, all cars must have been built this year from the kit provided.
Is my scouts name used at the event?
- Scout's first name and last initial are read out loud at the event and are also printed on their pit passes.
